CVNE (Cune)

BACKGROUND
CVNE (Compania Vinicola del Norte De Espana) is one of the most important wine producers of Spain, on account of its illustrious history, and its omnipresence in the contemporary Spanish wine scene. Founded by the Real de Asua brothers in 1879, it remains family-owned and family-run, with the latest generation committed more than ever to making great wine in meaningful quantities. CVNE’s three wineries perfectly symbolize the three essential principles that have always characterized the CVNE philosophy:  the respect of heritage evident at the historic Cune Winery founded in Haro in 1879; the embrace of new technology and innovation at the James Bond-inspired Viña Real Winery founded in 2004; and the expression of terroir embodied at the Contino Winery founded in 1973, the first single estate winery in Rioja.
